Billy Curtis has served for over 20 years as the Director of the Gender Equity Resource Center at the University of California, Berkeley. He is highly experienced in group facilitation, diversity training and development, management, community organizing, student development, policy analysis, and social media. Billy co-authored, “Transgender Issues on College Campuses”, which provided universities a blueprint for creating Trans inclusive spaces. Billy is a community advocate who has served on number of SF boards and committees. He currently serves on the Board for OpenHouse: LGBTQ Senior Housing. Billy has received numerous LGBTQ community honors among them are The GLBT Historical Society of San Francisco and SF East Bay Stonewall Democratic Club. In 2018, he was honored as a San Francisco Pride Parade Community Grand Marshal.
